Pursuit of Purpose respects your privacy. This notice explains the information used to operate our website, understand its performance, and provide the private daily practice.
Website analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics and privacy-limited first-party events to understand visits, traffic sources, page interactions, video engagement, and checkout movement. These measurements never include the words you type in an assessment, journal, interview, YOU-logy, decision, coaching application, or reflection.
Choosing “Essential only” prevents Google Analytics from loading and stops optional browser interaction events such as page views, scroll depth, and video engagement. We still process information needed to deliver a service you request, such as an account, submitted result, or completed payment.
Free downloads and calendar resources
Free resources may contain clearly labeled links back to Pursuit of Purpose with source and day identifiers. A file saved to your device does not secretly transmit information. Measurement occurs only if you choose to open one of those links or submit information on the website.
Assessment results and purpose guidance
If you ask us to save an assessment result, we store the name and email address you provide, your score and profile, and limited source information that helps us understand how you found Pursuit of Purpose. We use this information to deliver the result, provide the guidance you requested, and improve the path into the practice. We do not sell this information. You can withdraw email consent at any time from the email preferences page.
Optional graduate contact and follow-ups
One optional Day-14 form covers your stay-in-touch request and three graduate follow-up emails, with one explicit consent. We use the first name and email you provide, language, consent version and dates, short-lived verification records, a hashed network identifier for abuse prevention, and technical scheduling/delivery states. No reflective answers, scores or private writing are submitted. Verify your email once to finish this choice; no account is created. The three follow-ups arrive 7, 16 and 46 days after verification. No other marketing is added. One stop link in every follow-up withdraws the contact request and stops all graduate follow-ups for that address, including pending verification choices. You can also withdraw through the email preferences page or contact support for removal. An unverified form does not overwrite an existing unsubscribe.
Accounts, practice entries, and payments
Account access is available through a one-time email sign-in link or through ChatGPT sign-in for existing members. We store your email account identifier, short-lived sign-in link and session records to verify access and protect your private practice; sign-in emails are transactional, not marketing consent. An email account and a ChatGPT account with the same address are kept separate unless you explicitly request help connecting them. Information you intentionally save—including interview answers, Living YOU-logy drafts, daily commitments, evening reflections, decision records and replays, Personal Constitution, Personal Meaning Dictionary, approved Purpose Captures, relationship rehearsals, milestones, and Reality Scorecards—is used to provide your private, personalized experience across sessions and devices. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe; Pursuit of Purpose does not receive your full payment-card number.
Corey: automated on-page help
Corey is an automated guide, not a person, therapist or crisis service. The current version matches help topics locally against prepared guidance. It does not send your question to an AI provider or an app server, and it cannot read your member-account entries or billing record. A first name already displayed on your practice page may be used in its greeting.
Only if you explicitly choose, Corey can remember up to three recent reset notes in local storage on this device. These notes are not sent to an app server or AI provider. “Forget my history” withdraws that permission and deletes Corey’s local copy, without deleting your original reset notes.
Your typed question and displayed response use temporary page memory. Asking clears the question field; closing Corey clears its displayed question and response. There is no Corey transcript stored by the app, so no transcript is included in account export or used for model training. Closing the panel is not a promise of forensic erasure from the browser or device. Your browser or device may have its own input, accessibility or dictation services and policies.
Optional read-aloud guidance uses a browser voice only when it reports itself as available on the device. Corey does not submit your question for studio narration. Global optional engagement tracking excludes the marked Corey and support controls, and the support-resource page does not emit optional analytics events.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information. Corey may not understand every question or recognize every crisis. It cannot monitor your safety or contact someone on your behalf. Support resources are available without submitting a question.
My Data exports account practice records and can delete reflective data. Full account deletion is a separate manual request; a verified completion process, retained billing records and backup retention still need review. We do not claim that deleting practice data cancels a subscription or removes every account record.
Purpose Intelligence and the Living Mirror
The Living Mirror uses records you chose to save to offer source-labeled observations and questions. These are not diagnoses or authoritative declarations about you. You can mark an observation true, partly true, untrue, or request a better question. Your corrections are stored privately to keep future reflection aligned with your understanding. Approved captures and definitions do not automatically alter your YOU-logy or Personal Constitution.
If you use browser speech recognition for Purpose Capture, your browser or device may process speech according to its own voice-service settings. Review the text before saving it. Pursuit of Purpose stores only the capture you intentionally submit.
When studio narration is enabled, the text you choose to hear is securely sent to our voice provider only to generate that audio. The narration is AI-generated, does not imitate a real person, and is not retained by Pursuit of Purpose as an audio recording. If studio narration is unavailable, the app reports that clearly and does not substitute a device-generated voice.
Billing requests and optional referral rewards
When enabled, automated refund requests store the billing identifiers, request time, amount, processing status and confirmation needed to handle your request safely. They do not include reflective writing. Duplicate-safe processing may pause an uncertain transaction for an exception check. Referral rewards are being prepared and are not active: the planned program records a random share code, a separately chosen referral, verified payment status and earned membership credits. It will not share private writing, import contacts or treat a referral as marketing consent. No reward is earned from a click or an unpaid registration.
Optional reset emails
If you verify your account and separately choose daily email reminders, we store your account email, language, time, time zone, consent and technical scheduling/delivery states. Resend handles delivery. Messages never include your private writing. Daily check-ins end after fourteen emails. The account-free graduate option uses the single form described above; it does not require a second consent screen. Every email includes a stop link. You can stop, export and delete account-based daily settings in My optional emails. An unconfirmed cancellation is reported for retry. Removing app settings does not delete email already received or guarantee removal of every provider record.
Optional on-device Corey memory
Only if you choose, Corey can remember up to three recent reset entries in this device’s localStorage. They are never sent to a server or AI provider. Forget my history removes Corey’s local copy and permission while keeping your original reset notes. This is not a stored conversation transcript.
Return preferences and experience feedback
If you set a return rhythm, we store your chosen times, time zone, and accountability preference. If you provide a Day 1, 7, or 14 experience checkpoint, we store your ratings and comments to improve the practice. Feedback is not published as a testimonial without separate approval. Referral links use a limited random identifier to measure that a link was shared and visited; they do not reveal your journal or contact list.
For invited beta testers, we store an invitation identifier, its activation and expiry dates, the date of birth supplied to check adult eligibility, optional sex, the email from the signed-in account, and its account identifier. We use these details to operate the fourteen-day beta, contact a participant about their beta when needed, and understand who the beta reaches. Optional sex can be left blank; it is not shared in testimonials. We do not treat beta participation as consent to marketing emails. You can export and remove these beta profile details from My Data without deleting your journal. No payment method is collected to activate the beta. Continuing after the beta requires a separate subscription checkout with Stripe, where you choose a plan and provide a payment method. Private issue reports and final reviews include the ratings and answers you submit. Robert can review them to repair the app. They do not include your journal or assessment answers unless you deliberately paste those words into a report. After the beta, you may separately approve an exact quote and attribution for public use. Robert reviews approved quotes before publishing; your private review is never automatically published. You can withdraw approval on the beta review page, and we will remove the quote from the site. A beta invitation never starts a Stripe subscription.
When your approved public beta quote is published, we record honorary Founders Circle recognition and offer one free 10-minute phone coaching call. With a separate email checkbox, we use the email tied to your account for a one-time invitation. The invitation is also available in your account without email consent. If you request a call, Robert sees the phone number and availability you submit to arrange it. Withdrawing a quote removes it from public display but does not take away the earned call invitation. Founders Circle recognition is not company ownership or a paid membership.
Your choices
You can limit cookies through your browser settings. Signed-in members can export their private practice record or permanently delete reflective data from the My Data page. You can unsubscribe from purpose guidance at any time. You may also contact us to ask a privacy question or request help concerning information associated with your account.
